Welcome!

We are making the "Great Loop" - up the east coast, through the Great Lakes and into Canada, and then down the Mississippi and around Florida. It promises to be the adventure of a lifetime! We invite you to join us through our blog.

Ospreys!

We survived the big blow! Below is a photo of what our radar showed right before the storm hit. It actually was not as bad as it looked, but the wind blew hard all day - 25 kts, gusting to 32 kts. We feel very thankful after seeing the damage done in NC.

Yesterday we came to Osprey Marina, and were treated to very different scenery along the way. The area north of Georgetown once had lots of rice plantations. The area beyond that is cypress swamp. As we cruised through,  we saw ospreys, turtles and some beautiful cypress trees.

We may stay here another night before moving on. We will keep you posted!

Thankfully it wasn't as bad as it looked.

This was our little harbor most of the day.

I guess I have a thing for unusual trees.

There were lots of aeries along the way.

Another of my funny trees.
