Welcome!

We are making the "Great Loop" - up the east coast, through the Great Lakes and into Canada, and then down the Mississippi and around Florida. It promises to be the adventure of a lifetime! We invite you to join us through our blog.

Anchoring Out

Today Steve worked on a minor maintenance problem and then we headed north. This is our first night anchored out, which is interesting for us and for Ryder. We have an inverter that will make household current from the batteries as long as we don't overdo it. We had to crank the generator to use the oven, but only long enough to cook the chicken. With a little planning, we will be able to use the crockpot and skip the generator.

Steve has some issues with his email that may require him to change his email address. We will let everyone know if we have to do that. Our wireless is working great even out here at our anchorage. We talked to Sara and Liv on Skype this afternoon with no problems, other than Liv was pooped from playing in her wading pool and was ready to be in bed. Tomorrow we head to Charleston.
