Carolina Beach

Thursday we went to Carolina Beach. It had another tricky entrance, with boulders on either side. Luckily, I have a competent captain. We didn't do much - walked the dog and ordered pizza.

We left Carolina Beach for Wrightsville Beach this morning. We are anchored out for tonight and will move to a marina here tomorrow. The weather has turned a little cooler and rain is drizzling, but at least we got the anchor out before the rain started. There is an Episcopal Church within biking distance, so weather permitting we will get to the Easter service on Sunday.

I found your boat, Olivia.

A car ferry just past Southport.

The marina at Carolina Beach.

Leaving the marina - check out the boulders!

Why do they like to line up?

We're seeing lots of pelicans.

Coming into Wrightsville Beach.

This looks like a cool area to explore. We will check it out after we get to the marina tomorrow.

  1. You got to see one of the ferries! We always enjoy that 30-minute trip over to Fort Fisher. And yes, we like to watch all those pelicans in their fishing efforts. We really like the area where you are now.
