Georgetown, SC

We arrived in Georgetown on Thursday afternoon. Our weather information predicted bad weather Friday and over the weekend and wanted to stay at a marina. We had heard good things about Georgetown, so we decided to stay here until Sunday or Monday. Georgetown is an old colonial town, with a nice river walk and shopping area. We rode our bikes down to the main road and walked around, then went grocery shopping.

Today, we are very glad we decided to stay. There are gale force winds and white caps in the river here. Steve put out some more lines, so we are prepared. It will be a reading, knitting, laundry, golf kind of day.

We were very sad to hear that our good friend, John Nasworthy, died yesterday. May light perpetual shine upon him and may he rest in peace. Our love and prayers are with the Nasworthy family.
