Welcome!

We are making the "Great Loop" - up the east coast, through the Great Lakes and into Canada, and then down the Mississippi and around Florida. It promises to be the adventure of a lifetime! We invite you to join us through our blog.

Annapolis, MD

We left Oxford yesterday morning and cruised to Annapolis. It was a hot day, but there was lots of activity on the water. As we got closer to Annapolis there were more and more sailboats out enjoying an early start to the weekend.

After we docked, we had a visit from Bruce Walters. Bruce is a Savannah flight engineer who came up to manage flight engineers for the Air National Guard. He works at the Support Center and the Pentagon, but lives in Annapolis and commutes. I don't blame him! Bruce had dinner with us and will be back today to show us some of the sights.

Our plan is to stay here at least until tomorrow. Always subject to change, of course.

And today is the first birthday of our precious Olivia! Happy Birthday, Sweet Pea, from Granny and Grampy!

A great day for sailing

This is kind of representative. They were everywhere!

Note the people hanging over the side

The marina is on the right ahead

There were lots of sunflowers floating on the water - not sure why
