Cats in Catskill

This wonderful little town uses its artistic ability and a play on their name to do lots of good things. They have a competition each year for artists to decorate cats, which are judged and then displayed all along Main Street. At the end of the year, they are auctioned off to raise funds for various charities in the community. According to one of the locals, they raised over $180,000 last year. These folks love their cats! Several of the stores along Main Street display cats from past years in their windows.

Each cat had a plate with the name of the cat, the artist's name and the sponsor. I apologize to all of them, but I couldn't get the cat and a readable plate in the same photo. I'll just describe some of them.
