The area around our marina is all about fishing. We had dinner at The Lobster House last night - very good food. They have their own seafood market and the fishing fleet docks there. We saw two families (the moms and tiny children) waiting on the incoming boats for their Daddies.
Today we rode our bikes over to the resort area along the beach. There are plenty of newly constructed houses, hotels and condos - done very nicely in Victorian and Cape Cod styles. The old houses are lovely, though, and the old hotels are truly magnificent.
Our destination today was a section of the resort area that looked a good bit like the City Market section of Savannah. There was a yarn shop there that I just had to see! We took a different route back to the boat, so we got to see more of the old neighborhoods. I didn't stop to photograph them all, but I wanted to.
In the morning, weather permitting, we will head north to Atlantic City. We will probably anchor out. The temperature is supposed to be much better - fingers crossed.
