We are in Norfolk for a gathering of the America's Great Loop Cruisers Association (Loopers). After arriving on Wednesday, we spent some time with Steve's sister Libby and her family. We had a wonderful time seeing Libby's new house! Many, many thanks to Steve and Kari Bluhm for being our personal taxi for a few days. They took us to Lib's, took us shopping and got us back to our boat in good order.
The Looper function started Saturday afternoon. It is a chance to meet some of the people who are also on this adventure, and to learn a little more about the routes from people who have already done it.
This is a beautiful area, with lots to do. They have mermaids here, like New Bern had bears. There probably won't be much to blog about until Tuesday or Wednesday since we won't really be out and about.
We will be welcoming Pappy (my dad) and Sa on board Tuesday afternoon. They will be with us for a few days to visit some of the local sights. It will be very good to see them! We will resume the blog then!
